Michi Kasu… or as Wyl used to fondly call her, Michi Bozo (therefore we have always referred to any of her direct descendants as being part of the “Bozo” line) was the most incredibly gentle, free spirit. She never got upset about anything and had a “come what may” mothering style. She would sunbathe and keep an eye on her kids from a distance. I imagined if I questioned her about not keeping track of her kids more closely, that her answer would be “They know where I am if they need me”. I still, to this day describe her as someone that walked through life with an attitude of “Whatever”. She was a good friend that we admired and we still miss her. The last year and a half of her life, she developed cataracts that took most of her sight. Yet she was still nonplussed. I knew that if any doe could deal well with being blind, it was her. There is not much that I could ever find wrong with her conformation. She had a long slender neck, a gorgeous top line with some of the tightest laid in shoulders that I have ever seen, a wide loin and very correct rump from both hips to pins and thurl to thurl. She had lovely rear leg angulation and straight front legs. She had good width throughout and an incredibly attached udder all the way around with thin pliable skin and plumb teats. The only thing I can think of that I would have changed on her is to make her head smaller and her teats bigger. REALLY though, I would be overjoyed to have a herd full of does just like her.
